Composite Paving Mathasa combinationstructure of Polyester Mat + Fiberglass Scrim + Fiberglass Mat. The strong fiberglass meshembedded between polyester mat and fiberglass mat is the key to itsperformance.Thefiberglass maton the bottom sideminimizesthe mat shrinkage during the overlay process, the polyester mat on the upperside minimizesthe possibility of beingpunctured by some sharp objects.Beingreinforced by fiberglass mesh, the composite paving mat have strong tensile strength and low elongation, whichextends the life of pavement overlaysthrough the delay ofreflective cracking. The composite Paving Mat provides the highest tensile strength with anelongation lower than 5%, making it a strong,commercially availableand full coveragepaving mat or fabric.
The productalso serves as an effective moisture barrier equal to paving fabrics and mats. The unique, non-woven, fiberglassmatrix structure of the Composite Paving Mat allows asphalt binder to fully penetrate and fill voids within the fabric, limiting moisture infiltration and preventing waterfrominfiltratinginto the granular layers of the pavement structure.

Application: Use as excellent paving mat and other geotechnical material.
Instruction to use the polyester fiberglass paving mat:
◆Removedirt, gravel and dust from the pavement to assure good adhesionbetween asphalt and pavement.
◆If the road is damaged, itmust be repaired to make the surface of the road hard and smooth.
◆For agood result, the asphalt binder that will be used to adherethe Paving Mat to the road must be hot asphalt, but not emulsified asphalt.
◆The temperature of hot asphalt should be between 163℃and204 ℃.
◆When the hot asphalt covered the road, the Composite Paving Mat must be overlaid onto the hot asphalt before the asphalt lose it’s mobility so as to assure the mat fully soaked byasphalt and effectively provides a moisture barrier.
◆On installation ofthe Composite Paving Mat, the air temperature must be higher than4 ℃.
In order to achieve optimal results, here we provide some Important Notes oninstallation ofComposite Paving Mat:
◆Composite Paving Mat must be installed on hot asphalt. We recommend the following asphalt. AC-20; PG64-22; AR8000 +, or asphalt with penetrate rates 60-80. In extremelyhot summer, we recommend to useasphaltwith high viscosity, such as AC-30; PG67-22; AR8000 +, or asphalt with penetrate grade 40-60.
◆The best ratio of asphalt is 1.1 liters / square meters paving mat, but subject toproject sitesituation during the installation, the ratio can be between 1.0-1.3 liters / square meters. According to different area weight of the Composite Paving Mat, the ratio of asphalt should be adjusted accordingly. During the asphalt delivery, we do not suggestto heat the asphalt above to atemperature higher than 204 ℃, because this would hinder the pre-mature of liquid asphalt.
◆Handlethe Composite Paving Mat with care during the installation, the paving mat mightbe damaged or it may cause bad result if the paving mat drop down from the installationmachine.
◆During the installation, if it forms astripe bigger than 2.5cmin any direction, the stripes must be cut and overlaid, and the two layers of paving mat must be fully covered by asphalt so as to assure the two layers of paving mat fully soaked inthe hot asphalt. Use roller to press the paving mat or use brush to clear out bubbles on the paving mat to ensure the paving mat fully adhered to the road. Whencovering the hot asphalt to the road, the widthof asphaltshould be 4 inch more than the width of paving mat. Since the paving mat can not be curved, forthe winding area of the road the paving mat can be cut into several piecesand be installed to the road manually or mechanically.
◆For the connection of two pieces of paving mat:the two pieces of paving mat must be overlapped together. In the longitudinaldirection the width of overlapped area must be at least 10.2cm;and in the lateraldirection, the width of overlapped area must be at least 5.1cm.
◆Ifthe installationmachine or other vehicles have to driveon the paving mat, it should not turn directionsfrequently or suddenly so as to avoid damaging the paving mat. Do not scattersand or other object on the paving mat;to avoid asphalt sticking to the tire of the machine, do not minimize the ratio of bitumen.
